The three most rhetorically important parts are:
- "Their concern [was] prompted by the fact that too many students are dropping out of school, bored or dissatisfied with that offers...."
- "Among the first 600 students enrolled, attendance in the term average 92 percent, and 71 percent successfully completed."
- "David S. Border, a political correspondent for Washington Post, discusses alternative high schools."

I disagree with the first quote. In a sense it is not rhetorically important. It just states reasons to why children drop out of school. The second quote, however I agree that it is rhetorically important because it states statistics which appeals to logos. It states facts and numbers that data can provide. Lastly, the third quote is not really important although it appeals to logos. It just shows and discusses who discussed alternative school. In some cases this may be important but in this case, this is not rhetorically important.

I agree with all of the statements being rhetorical. All of the statements above are mostly logos and ethos. In some sense the first statement appeals to pathos because it shows the emotions of students and their academic environment.

I agree with all the following statement above. The first statement appeal to pathos because it stated to how the student feel about education. The second statement is logos because it gives facts about the school. Overall I agree with each statement because gives support to the passages that we read.
